New Poetry Series!

Yes, you are welcome to sample a sweet little morsel of verse every single day during the run of this series! Season 1 may have concluded, but the whole 100 episodes are there for you to explore. And Season 2 should be just as sublime! Why haiku? Because I love haiku!

I wrote my first haiku in college (a few years ago!) and forgot how much I enjoyed the form until stumbling upon a few old poems in storage. I started playing around and thought it was the perfect format to send small bite-sized tidbits of word goodness out into the world.

This project will start with haiku from the masters of the Edo period of Japan, where the form originated, presented every other day alongside my originals. One hundred poems from the middle of the last millennium, mixed with one hundred from the last year, month, or even morning! Then I venture onward on my own...

Bonus fact: What pushed me into motion was editing my novel "STRANDED" where the father of Clan Coburn is a professor of English at Middlebury College who teaches classes of poetry. Make sure to check out the book here. Yes, coming next summer!
